Item 13B - Resolution Authorizing the Town Manager to Enter into an Agreement with the State of Connecticut

WHEREAS, the South Windsor Town Council is cognizant of the conditions and prerequisites for the state financial assistance imposed by The Department of Economic and Community Development, State of Connecticut, (An EqualWHEREAS, at the July 21, 2020 meeting of the State Bond Commission, funds were allocated to provide a grant-in-aid to the Town of South Windsor to assist with repairs to the parking lot at Union District School/Wood Memorial Library & Museum in the amount of $100,000; and
WHEREAS, at the September 29, 2020 meeting of the State Bond Commission, funds were re-allocated to provide a grant-in-aid to the Town of South Windsor to assist with HVAC upgrades to the Wood Memorial Library & Museum with an additional $49,000; and
WHEREAS, the total approved financial assistance from the State Bond Commission for Wood Memorial Library & Museum is $149,000, which will be used for the upgrades to the HVAC system
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the South Windsor Town Council hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $149,000 from the State of Connecticut and authorizes Michael Maniscaico, Town Manager, to sign and execute any and all agreements and documents necessary on behalf of the Town of South Windsor.
